"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." - Mother Teresa

There are days when I feel like this land down under is lulling us into this desire to embrace the ease and simplicity of the lifestyle here. The amazing weather certainly adds a positive dimension as well. Walking this morning found us on Charm Way, Wisdom Lane, Fellowship Lake, Peace Lane, Mystic Elbow, Utopia Lane, you get the idea. It really seems to calm the spirit when you read the street signs around here!!  We set off for the beach with Andrew behind the wheel, leaving me to go into panic mode. He was a rock star though and seemed to be quite calm and make this left hand side of the road driving look almost easy. Coogee Beach is an incredible stretch of beach along the coast of the Indian Ocean, about a 20 minute drive from Atwell. Kathryn and the girls had to be at Eden's dress rehearsal all afternoon, so we were on our own. The beach wasn't crowded, despite a beautiful day at about 30 C, mainly because there is mile after mile of beach; plenty to go around!  There is a section of the beach with a shark net in the water to keep the toothy creatures at bay.
The new fancy Life Saving Centre at Coogee Beach with fitness centre and cafe. Kind of space ship looking.

Approaching the beach, the sign warns of snakes and stinging things. I guess folks don't need to be reminded about sharks.

A stunning day and the beach stretches along for miles!

Skirting the Indian ocean - another check on the bucket list.

A selfie showing how the earth tips down to the south, probably caused by the weight of Antarctica.  :-) or perhaps a tipsy hand??

A nifty statue at Woodmans Point.

 Andrew scouting for dorsal fins.

And if you wish to move here, you better start saving!

It was quite hilarious when we stopped at the shops on the way home and heard Frank Sinatra crooning 'White Christmas'. Almost 2 weeks in and the simple fact that I can still wear shorts everyday does not make me want to rush back to the chilly NS fall weather.
